All products sold in Saudi Arabia, whether imported or locally manufactured, are required to complete SABER registration. Products without issued conformity certificates will be denied entry into the market.

Raw materials are deemed unregulated and exempt from registration requirements.

The following products are currently covered under the scope of SABER certification:

• New automotive spare parts, excluding tires, vehicle batteries and safety barriers;

• Personal protective equipment such as fireproof suits, eye protection gear, gloves, safety shoes, etc.;

• Textiles including silk, wool, cotton and fabrics;

• Trailers and semi-trailers;

• Detergents, surfactants and soaps such as liquid glass cleaners and liquid dishwashing detergents, excluding disinfectants;

• Solar power generation system products and their components including photovoltaic modules, cables and connectors;

• Equipment, machinery and structures permanently or temporarily installed in urban areas;

• Adhesives and glues such as structural adhesives, leather adhesives, footwear adhesives, wood adhesives, paper adhesives, packaging adhesives, etc.;

• Decorative plastic and metal ornaments for hair, hands and neck;

• Plastic and metal pipeline systems for water supply, power facilities, construction and corresponding fittings;

• Wireless communication devices such as mobile phones, headsets, smart devices, etc.;

• Packaging products made of paper, cardboard, wood, plastic, textiles and other packaging materials;

• Materials and surfaces in contact with food, such as cooking appliances, tableware, food packaging materials and containers;

• Footwear made of leather, textiles, plastics or composite mixtures of these materials;

• Pressure-bearing equipment and their accessories such as fire extinguishers and pressure cookers;

• Fire-fighting products such as fire extinguishers, alarm systems and fire hoses;

• Fireworks including firecrackers and display fireworks.

• Packaging photos;

• Importer's account and password;

• English user manual and technical specification;
