Notice on Organizing Basic Training Course for Greenhouse Gas Verifiers
In 2020, General Secretary Xi Jinping solemnly announced at the General Debate of the 75th Session of the United Nations General Assembly: "China will scale up its nationally determined contributions, adopt more vigorous policies and measures, strive to peak carbon dioxide emissions before 2030, and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060." This important announcement points out the direction and draws a grand blueprint for China's response to climate change and green low-carbon development.
Li Keqiang, Premier of the State Council, pointed out in the 2021 Report on the Work of the Government that solid efforts should be made to fulfill all tasks related to carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, formulate an action plan for carbon emission peaking before 2030, and optimize the industrial structure and energy mix.
To support the realization of China's carbon peaking goal and carbon neutrality vision and standardize the registration of greenhouse gas verifiers, the China Certification and Accreditation Association (CCAA) revised the Registration Scheme for Greenhouse Gas Verifiers in response to new situations and requirements. In this revision, greenhouse gas verifiers are incorporated into the "CCAA Certification Personnel Registration and Management System" (hereinafter referred to as the Registration System). Requirements on personnel, institutions and processes have been supplemented and improved, and the Registration Criteria for Greenhouse Gas Verifiers was released on August 10, 2021.
ATC Testing & Certification (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. completed the filing of the CCAA Basic Training Course for Greenhouse Gas Verifiers on October 13, 2021, with the filing number BA2021010.
To meet the demands of enterprises and practitioners, ATC will organize training for greenhouse gas verifiers.
