On July 7, 2021, the Certification Division of Shanghai Administration for Market Regulation organized a seminar for certification bodies in Shanghai on competency improvement and risk management of certification practitioners. Relevant persons in charge from the Institution Administration Department of State Administration for Market Regulation, China Certification and Accreditation Association, Certification Division of Shanghai Administration for Market Regulation, Shanghai Certification Association and relevant institutions were required to attend the seminar. Discussions were held on the development of the certification industry, administration and competency improvement of certification practitioners, certification risk management, qualification reform for approval of certification bodies, difficulties and pain points encountered by certification bodies, etc. Participating institutions shared opinions on the discussed topics based on their respective development conditions.

ATC Testing & Certification sent representatives to attend the seminar, and delivered a report covering its business operation status, existing problems in the administration and competency of its certification practitioners, certification risk management as well as relevant difficulties and pain points. In the afternoon, the representatives participated in the training on practitioners' competency improvement organized by Shanghai Administration for Market Regulation. Lectures were delivered by Director Liu from the Institution Administration Department of State Administration for Market Regulation, Secretary-General Dong of China Certification and Accreditation Association, and Director Chang from the Certification Division of Shanghai Administration for Market Regulation respectively.
