Products sold in Saudi Arabia, whether imported or locally manufactured, need to complete SABER registration. Products without issued certificates of conformity will be prohibited from entry.

Raw materials are deemed unregulated and registration is not required.

Currently, the following products fall within the scope of SABER certification:

• New automotive spare parts, excluding tires, vehicle batteries and safety barriers;

• Personal protective equipment, such as fire-resistant clothing, eye protection gear, gloves, safety shoes, etc.;

• Textiles, such as silk, wool, cotton, fabrics;

• Trailers and semi-trailers;

• Detergents, surfactants and soaps, such as liquid glass cleaners, liquid dishwashing detergents; excluding disinfectants;

• Solar power system products and their components, such as photovoltaic modules, cables and connectors;

• Equipment, machinery and structures permanently or temporarily installed in urban areas;

• Adhesives and glue products, such as structural adhesives, leather adhesives, footwear adhesives, wood adhesives, paper adhesives, packaging adhesives, etc.;

• Decorative plastic and metal articles, such as ornaments worn on hair, hands and necks;

• Plastic and metal piping systems for water and power transmission, buildings and fittings;

• Wireless communication equipment, such as mobile phones, headsets, smart devices, etc.;

• Packaging products: paper, cardboard, wood, plastic, textiles and other packaging materials;

• Materials and surfaces in contact with food, such as cooking equipment, tableware, food packaging materials and containers;

• Footwear made of leather, textiles, plastic or mixtures of these materials;

• Pressure equipment and its accessories, such as fire extinguishers, pressure cookers;

• Fire-fighting products, such as fire extinguishers, alarm systems, fire hoses;

• Firework products, such as firecrackers and fireworks.

• Test Report (Report issued by an accredited laboratory in English);

• Multi-angle product photos plus close-up photos of nameplate, marking plate and trademark;

• Packaging photos;

• Importer account and password;

• English user manual and technical specification;

• Product drawings, circuit schematic diagrams, etc.
